Startup Sound Changer lets you easily replace the classical, annoying Windows sound with any audio file you want, in a fast and convenient way. Your new sound has to be saved in .wav file format, but this shouldn't be a problem considering the large number of existing conversion tools.
After you decide on your new startup sound, you can play your file to see how it fits. Any modification recorded by Startup Sound Changer can always be reverted with a simple click on the "Restore" button. This option will reestablish the default Windows startup sound.
Startup Sound Changer is distributed as a free portable utility and can be used only under administrator rights.
