File Roller is a simple and reliable archive manager for the GNOME Desktop.

File Roller is a handy tool that allows you to easily create and modify archives, view the content of the archives, view a specific file contained in the archive, as well as extract files from the archive.

File Roller is basically only a friendly graphical interface to archiving utilities such as tar and zip.
