pRPN For Linux ScreenshotsEditor's Opinion
pRPN - a neat cross platform calculator with some powerful enhancements and a well thought out GUI. Free to use.
Editor's Description
For anyone feeling slightly nostalgic for the 80's when HP reigned supreme, here is an application designed to bring them closer to that bygone decade - pRPN.
pRPN is a cool application with a design and functionality resembling that of the 80's HP calculators. While this may seem as a bit ancient, pRPN in fact provides a powerful, enhanced medium for performing advanced mathematical calculations ranging from boolean to trigonometrical.
In pRPN, users are able to work with a wide range of data types such as real, complex numbers, binary integers, strings, vectors, matrixes, lists, names and procedures.
Surprisingly enough, the utility can solve linear equation systems and what's more, supports the use of clauses like IF, WHILE or UNTIL.
Use commands followed by arguments for simple to complex calculations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, power, percentage, SIN, COS, TAN, ACOS, ASIN, EXP, boolean and many others.
All this and much more is intuitively achieved with the help of an intuitive, clear and well organized graphical user interface with most commands available from the program's menu.
pRPN is compatible with multiple systems including Windows and Linux and available as an open source application making it completely free of charge.
