If you still have a passion for one of the most everlasting browsers Internet Explorer then you have certainly noticed one lack in functionality across its many years of development: a built-in spell checking utility. Here is one application that is going to solve this minor gap.
Speckie is a little browser add-on that provides Internet Explorer users with the long awaited ability to check spelling as they write. What's more this is not available just for the English language but actually has been translated to up to 32 different languages and there are up to 33 dictionaries available online for users to download.
It works quite intuitively for those familiar with MS Office type tools; for each error it detects, Speckie will highlight it. In order to correct the error, right click on the word and select an appropriate replacement.
From the right click context menu you can access Speckie's settings for spell check mod (passive or dynamic), maximum number of spelling suggestions per dictionary, tag style and color. Note that you can use one or more dictionaries simultaneously.
Speckie supports both 32 and 64 bit versions of Internet Explorer. It contains specialised dictionaries for medical, legal and financial sectors.
Speckie is compatible with CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 online; also works with Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 and Outlook Web Access 2007.
The application works on Windows XP, Vista and 7 (32 and 64 bit) and requires Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8 or 9.
With Speckie you no longer have to copy and paste the text into a spell checking tool; this add-on is bound to enhance your experience with Internet Explorer and make sure you make little or no more spelling errors at all.
