Many of the handiest tools are also really simple. This rule also applies to this one. FlipExt is an easy to use image converter based on simplicity.
FlipExt is extremely simple: all you have to do is load an image and click the image format (the extension) in the blue box (right) into which you want to convert your image to (A save file dialog will be automatically shown after you have converted your image. No changes are applied to the original loaded image).
FlipExt will also display a preview of the image loaded. It supports all the most popular image formats, such as PNG, BMP, GIF, EMF, TIF, WMF, ICO and of course, the ubiquitous JPG.
The main characteristic of FlipExt is its simplicity. It's also tiny, lightweight, neat and resource-friendly. Last but not least, it is also completely free. As you can see, there's no reason not to give it a try.
It requires Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
